How it works

Three steps, then it's a habit.

No launch-day theatre. A page, a log, and the people who see both.

  1. 01

    Start a project page

Name the problem, the stage and the stack. Logs, roadmap and open roles all hang off this one page, so people have something to follow from day one.

Builders reply, collaborators apply to your open roles, and your profile turns into the track record you send instead of a résumé.

Why builders stay

Built for the weeks nobody claps.

Most build-in-public feeds reward the launch post. Kairo is shaped for the fifty ordinary updates around it.

  • Weekly streaks, not daily guilt

One log a week keeps a streak alive. A single missed week between two shipped weeks never breaks a streak. Hide it if you would rather not count at all.

  • Private means private

Private and followers-only logs are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface. To everyone else, a private log is a 404.

  • A track record, not a follower count

No likes leaderboard and no follower sort. Projects rank by what shipped, and your profile shows dated proof of it.

  • Replies that are actually replies

Ask a question in a log and it goes to the feed's Needs a reply tab — the place people open when they have time to answer one.

FAQ

Before you sign in

Is Kairo free?

Yes. Sign in with GitHub or Google and start posting. There is nothing to pay and no plan to upgrade to.

What is a build log?

A short, dated update on one project: what you shipped, what broke and what is next. Markdown, screenshots and @mentions all work, and a log can be linked to the roadmap item it moved.

Who can see what I post?

You choose per project (public, unlisted or private) and per log (public, followers only or private). The server enforces it: a private log is a 404 to everyone but you and the project owner.

How do weekly streaks work?

A week counts when you publish at least one log. Weeks run Monday to Sunday, UTC. A single missed week between two shipped weeks never breaks a streak, and you can hide your streak from your profile.

How do collaborations work?

Owners post roles with the hours, compensation and timezone up front. Applicants see the project's log trail before they apply, owners see the applicant's. Owners accept or decline with a reason, and applicants can withdraw. Nothing is left silent.

Does Kairo post to my GitHub, Google or X account?

No. Signing in reads your name, email and avatar and nothing else. Sharing a log is a link you copy or a share sheet you open yourself.

Your first log takes two minutes.

Start a project page, write down what you did today, and publish. The rest is showing up next week.
